Module 1: The Setup & Basics (Beginner)

1. Interface Tour

  • Mobile vs. Desktop: Differences in layout and features.
  • The Workspace: Preview Window, Timeline, Toolbar, and Media Pool.
  • Project Settings: Resolution (1080p vs. 4K), Frame Rate (30fps vs. 60fps), and Aspect Ratio (9:16 for TikTok, 16:9 for YouTube).

2. Core Editing Tools

  • Importing: Adding videos, photos, and live photos.
  • The "Split": The most used tool. Cutting out mistakes and dead air.
  • Trimming: Shortening clips from the ends.
  • Speed Control:
    • Normal: 2x, 5x, or 0.5x speed.
    • Curve: The "Speed Ramp" effect (Slow-Fast-Slow) for cinematic flow.

3. Transitions & Effects

  • Standard Transitions: Dissolve, Fade to Black, Pull In/Out.
  • Creative Transitions: Camera movements (Shake, Glitch) vs. Overlays.
  • Video Effects: Using the "Trending" tab (Smart Sharpen, Halos, Retro).
  • Body Effects: AI effects that track the human body (Lightning eyes, Glowing outlines).

  • Picture-in-Picture (Overlay): Placing a video on top of another video (Reaction style).
  • Blend Modes: Screen, Multiply, Overlay (Removing black backgrounds from stock footage).
  • Stickers: Emojis, Arrows, and "Subscribe" animations.

6. Keyframes (The Secret Sauce)

  • Note: This separates beginners from pros.

  • Animation: manually zooming in, panning across an image, or moving text across the screen using diamonds.

Module 3: Color & Cinematic Looks (Intermediate)

7. Color Correction

  • Adjustments: Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, and Exposure.
  • HSL (Hue, Saturation, Luminance): Changing specific colors (e.g., making the sky bluer without turning your skin blue).

8. Filters & Grading

  • Filters: Using built-in looks (Teal & Orange, Black & White).
  • Matching Shots: Making footage from two different cameras look the same.

Module 4: Audio Engineering (Advanced)

9. Sound Design

  • Extract Audio: Pulling sound from other video files.
  • Voiceovers: Recording directly in the timeline.
  • Sound Effects (SFX): Adding "Whooshes," "Pops," and "Risings" to transitions.

10. Audio Syncing

  • Beat Sync: Automatically marking the beats of a song to cut clips exactly on the music drop.
  • Noise Reduction: Removing background hum or wind noise.

Module 5: Advanced Techniques (Pro)

11. Masking & Chroma Key

  • Green Screen (Chroma Key): Removing green backgrounds.
  • Auto Cutout: Removing backgrounds without a green screen (AI).
  • Masking: Split screen effects, "Clone" yourself effects, and text reveal behind objects.

12. Tracking

  • Motion Tracking: Making text or stickers follow a moving object (e.g., an arrow following a car).
  • Camera Tracking: (Desktop version) Stabilizing shaky footage.

13. The "Viral" Workflow
